Why You'll Love It

Magic Star is ideal for one-stroke face painting, allowing you to pick up several complementary colours at once and create an instant gradient with a single brush.

It's particularly suited to:

  • Stars and magic wands
  • Fairy and fantasy designs
  • Princess and fairytale designs
  • Whimsical one-stroke details
  • Birthday parties and events
  • Professional face painting kits

The easy-to-activate formula provides excellent colour payoff while remaining simple to wash away with soap and water.

How to Use

1. Activate the paint
Lightly dampen a flat face painting brush. Avoid adding too much water – a slightly damp brush will give you stronger, cleaner colours.

2. Load your brush
Sweep the brush back and forth across the colour bands until the bristles are evenly loaded with the complete gradient.

3. Paint your design
Use smooth, confident strokes to transfer the colours to the skin. The different colour bands will blend naturally as you paint, creating the signature one-stroke effect.

4. Using a sponge
Magic Star can also be applied using a small sponge or round dauber. Lightly load the colours and gently pat onto the skin until you achieve your desired coverage.

5. Allow to dry
Fusion Body Art face paint dries quickly to a vibrant, smudge-resistant finish.

Removal & Care

Remove from the skin using soap and warm water with a soft cloth or sponge.

Wash brushes and sponges thoroughly after each use to prevent colours transferring between products.

Allow the surface of your split cake to dry completely before replacing the lid. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat. Never leave face paints in a hot vehicle.

FAQs

What is Magic Star?
Magic Star is a 30g Fusion Body Art split cake designed by Elodie Ternois for her Lodie Up Collection. Its multi-colour gradient is designed to create beautiful one-stroke effects quickly and easily.

What designs is Magic Star best for?
It's particularly effective for magical and fantasy-inspired designs, including stars, magic wands, fairies, princess designs and colourful one-stroke details.

Is Magic Star included in a palette?
Yes. Magic Star is one of six mini split cakes featured in Elodie Ternois' Lodie Up Rainbow Ponies Palette. This product is the larger, individual 30g version.

What's the difference between a split cake and a rainbow cake?
Split cakes feature narrow bands of colour and are particularly suited to loading a flat brush for one-stroke painting. Larger rainbow cakes are generally designed to accommodate a sponge for broader, multi-colour coverage.

Can I use Magic Star with a sponge?
Yes. Although it's particularly well suited to flat brushes and one-stroke work, a small sponge or dauber can also be used to apply the colours.

How many applications will I get from one cake?
Approximately 100–200 applications, although this will vary depending on the size of your designs, your application technique and the amount of paint used.

Can Fusion Body Art colours be mixed?
Yes. Colours can be blended while wet to create new shades or layered once the previous layer has dried.

Is Magic Star suitable for children?
Magic Star is recommended for ages 3 years and over. As with any cosmetic product, a small patch test is recommended before first use.

Professional Tip

For the cleanest one-stroke results, choose a flat brush that fits comfortably across the colour bands. Keep your brush damp rather than wet and reload regularly to maintain crisp, vibrant colour transitions.
